New monthly meeting, the IXPlorations are a LyonIX presentation event, aimed to organisations interested in joining the Lyon IXP / NAP.

Come and discover the benefits of being connected to the Lyon's Internet marketplace, LyonIX: Internet access cost reduction, ultra-fast connection to international Cloud actors, access to numerous network services, presence of regional, national, and international, operators, securitisation of your internet routes, bandwidth cost reduction and important decrease of the latency.

Some actors, already connected and wishing to benefit from LyonIX, also attend these meetings.

With London Access Point (LONAP), England has joined the inter-IXP peering at LyonIX. All the members of this English Internet eXchange Point can peer with those of LyonIX through announcements made by the two IXP route-servers.

This international agreement adds to previous interconnections: Italie-France with TopIX (Internet eXchange Point in Turin), Switzerland-France with CIXP (Internet eXchange Point of the CERN in Geneva) and Bulgaria with NetIX (Internet eXchange Point in Sofia).

This new extension was immediately confirmed by the traffic which has been established once the link was opened. The Rezopole team is at your disposal for any information concerning this new interconnection. It has almost been a year since the L Digital, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Collective with the goal to favor women's place in the digital sector, is structured and launched thanks to greater mobilisation of its active participants in promoting digital sector among women.

Its members, who actively participate on this issue, gathered to coordinate their respective actions and generate a new synergy. Indirectly, they contribute in a broader perspective to the development and attractiveness of the digital sector in the region.

This is the case of Rezopole which organised its 5th RezoGirls on May 9th of this year on the "Women job seekers in the digital area: new career challenges" theme.

For the first time the IoT Platform connected its two users: a local government and a supplier.

The local government is located in the Paris region and is benefiting from the dynamism of the capital to accelerate the digital and IoT (Internet of Things) development in its territory. The supplier, based in the South of France, is an expert in the deployment of IoT project, from installation to analysis and data restitution.

In 1990, no way to correctly receive television at Ferrette: the hertzian waves don't pass, they bounce. Three friends fond of technics set-up their cables: it was the birth of the local network, named Kbleu... and television reached Ferette!

Kbleu chooses to operate as a municipal or inter-municipal local authority structure.

In 2015, this authority manages the TV, Internet and telephony distribution infrastructures for the citizens of both municipalities. The friends are still there: energetic volunteers and experts, they practice sharing for the benefit of all. Proponents of open-source software and its spirit, they provide an alternative to the market-based model. And refuse to give-up and bend before the leading market operators...

Kbleu animates the local channel and distributes television, telephony and Internet, for all residents of Ferrette and Vieux Ferrette. Saying "Kbleu" means a cable (we are located in the south of Alsace...). It is a simple play on words of the malicious inventors.
