Initiated in Evian in 2000 by Michel Serres, philosopher, scholar and Yves Coppens paleontologist, these interviews, involving a dozen scientists, moved to Lyon.
They respond to the need to inform civil society about the rapid development of science and technology and understand the major technological challenges of tomorrow.
We walked resolutely into the knowledge society and the challenges of knowledge, its dissemination in a transdisciplinary approach, challenge all players.
The importance of debate, to compare and share this reflection has led for many years the likes of Yves Coppens and Michel Serres to organize meetings between science and society, opportunity for debate between scientists and researchers from all disciplines, and to the general public.

On this occasion Gérard Collomb ( Senator - Lyon Mayor), Patrick Bazin (Chairman Doc Forum), Michel Serres ( philosopher, academician ), Yves Coppens (paleontologist, professor at the College de France), Xavier Le Pichon (Chair Geodynamics of the College de France), Marc Lachieze -Rey (physicist and astrophysicist, director of research at CNRS) and Marc Jeannerod (neurophysiologist) will occur.
This meeting will discuss the issue of science and knowledge and present the interviews in 2009
