Afert various edition in Europe, (Oslo, Brussels,  London, Berlin, Prague, etc.) le 19ème forum de Euro-IX's 19th Forum will take place in Lyon, October 17 and 18, 2011 at Cité Internationale, in partnership with Rezopole, which operates Lyon IXP, LyonIX.

For this 19th edition, 120 participants from 40 Euro-IX member states are expected.

Euro-IX is an association created in 2001 whose main objective ideveloping and supporting Internet eXchange Points (IXP) in Europe first, then, worldwide.

The structure already gather 61 members from Europe, Asia, the United States and Africa.

Euro-IX forums are international meetings organised twice a year. The last the last one one took place in May at Catane in Sicile.

These meetings are organised in European capital cities. They include 2 days conferences and a gala lunch.

LyonIX and Top-IX (Torino and Piemonte Internet Exchange) have established a direct connection between their IXPs in 2008 to support traffic between members of two transalpine structures.
With this interconnection, each LyonIX member can exchange (or "peer") with TOP-IX members, and thus their mutual traffic follows the new path which is shorter and faster, issued by LyonIX and Top-IX. And the Lyonix exchange capacity and Top-IX go beyond regional borders.


Cooperation between Lyonix and Top-IX implies first high-speed connection between the Rhône-Alpes region in France and the Piedmont in Italy, but other projects will emerge from this new technological opportunity.

Files transfered through  IX-Share can now reach  10 Go capacity.

IX-Share is a free downloading service for large files, set up by Rezopole that allows the upload ( file) and download (file recovery).

The service is centralized in Lyonix, which provides better transfer for Lyonix participants, but also for users (companies, local authorities, etc.) with their ISPs peering on that point.

IX-Share operation is simple: once connected to ixshare.rezopole.net, just put online the documents to be stored on the server (the space "My Files"). The uploaded files are available from a download link sent to an email address specified by the user.

More rapidity, a multilingual interface, IX-Share is a secure and accessible tool in good technical conditions! Login to ixshare.rezopole.net to optimize the time-line and transfer documents and to eliminate the constraint file size!

LyonIX is connected on Equinix - Paris. The interconnection took place on 11/02/11 at 12:00...

...in order to boost exchanges between Lyon and Paris and open more paths possible between users of both cities.

All Equinix aris Exchange members  will be able to peer with LyonIX participants, Lyon and Rhône Alpes IXP NAP.

The nineth Aperezo organised by Rezopole took place at Les Feuillants restaurant in Lyon, in partnership with Classe-Export.

Rezopole received for this evening 65 professional guesses working in Telecommunication Internet, communication and journalist in Rhône-Alpes. Participants had the occasion to receive information about 2011 Use IT show with their counterparts in an uncommon and friendly environment.

The partner of the evening is Class-Export, represented by the CEO, Marc Hoffmeister and responsible for Communication, Stéphanie Gibert, presented to Aperezo participants the Use IT show, whose first edition will be held in June 2011. It is about an IT solution and technologies oriented show for companies which target CEO, CIO, project managers, HR, logistics, supply chain managers, consultants, engineers, etc.

Rezopole User Group breakfast at the IN2P3 computing center in one click.

The sixth RUG took place in the IN2P3 computing center with 26 participants. After the introduction of Vincent Pages on technical innovations of Rezopole infrastructure Mr. Yonny Cardenas presented the Tidra project. The meeting continued with a tour of the IN2P3 computing center.

RUG 6 will take place at the Lyon computing center (IN2P3) on January 27, 2011 from 8:45 AM.

For the new year, the RUG 6 relocates for the occasion at the Computing Centre of Lyon (IN2P3) which hosts Lyonix 1...
Tidra project (Data Processing and Distributed Computing in Rhône-Alpes) will be presented with a visit.
