The Libre Software Professional Meeting (RPLL) will take place on July 4th & 5th, 2017 from 9am to 18pm in Saint-Étienne at the Usine des Forces Motrices. The RPLL is oranized by Ploss-ra which brings together more than 40 open software companies of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The Rezopole User Group was held at the Rezopole premises on March 31st. Rezopole had the pleasure to receive Rémi Lapeyrade, researcher at the CNRS-LAAS; who presented the SDN project at the TOUIX IXP.
The participants discovered the TOUSIX project networks architecture as well as the equipment (Pica8 among others) and software used like the Openflow for a programmable ASIC configuration.
The TouSIX project is focused on research. The infrastructure is above all a technical and scientific demonstration seen as a typical model applicable to the SDN transition. However, the results show that it is possible to take radical routes (programmable ASIC) consistent with production environments.
The SDN advantage in this context is to improve the scalability, resilience and security. The advantage is also a better control of networks equipment.
Ronan Bianic from Rezopole team presented a report on the Juniper hackathon (project in partnership between Juniper and France-IX) that was held in Paris. The presentation was about the network deployment automation technologies via "ansible" and the VXLAN implementation, tunneling technology above IP.
These points should be examined in greater depth, that would probably be the theme of the next RUG.
An event held on November 8th, 2016 at la maison des Sciences de l'Homme in Clermont-Ferrand. Organized by the ANSSI (National Agency of Computer Software Security) with supports from the Blaise Pascal University and the DIRECCTE Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Regional Direction of Concurence, Consumation, Work and Employee Enterprise), this event falls within the scope of the thematic meetings on digital security of the OZSSI (Zonal Observatory of Computer Software Security) South-Est.
In the Information and Communication Technology area, the digital security is vital and a chalenge for the future. During this 25th thematic meeting different speakers will explain the various actions set-up in the region to lead this everyday battle. It is an opportunity for Damien Lebret to come and present our partner MassifIX but also to understand the approach to industrial cyber-security, and for Yann Bourjault from Schneider Eletric to give a feedback on the development of the Stormshield industrial firewall.

This new point of presence (POP) located in Limonest is connected to LyonIX 1 and 2 across a 10Gbps cross-connection.
The local loop between the three LyonIX POPs will improve the network security.
